CHO-MASK, CHO-FOIL, CHO-STRAP: Tinned Copper Process Modification
Parker Chomerics has announced an important change to their manufacturing process. As part of their continual commitment to product quality and innovation, they are transitioning to a dual source for their CHO-MASK, CHO-FOIL, and CHO-STRAP products. The new process involves using tin-clad copper instead of the current tin-plated copper.
Parker Chomerics have rigorously tested the new tin-clad copper process and has found that it maintains the same form, fit, and function as the current material. However, we would like to bring to your attention that the current applicable MIL and ASTM standards will no longer apply to the tin-clad copper, as it is not a plated process as per these standards.
We understand that some of your legacy drawings may specify plating requirements for these products. We kindly request you to review your product specifications and drawings for any such references.
This process change affects the following Products:
- CHO-MASK CMT-XX-XXX-XXXXX
- CHO-FOIL CCK-XX-XXX-XXXXX
- CHO-STRAP L-XXXX
Please also note that certain 24” wide bulk rolls will now only be available in a maximum width of 22.5” and may also include a part number change.
Parker Chomerics intends to use both processes interchangeably, effective immediately. No actions are necessary on your part regarding this change.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter. For any questions please contact your JHC representative. You can also call our Head Office on +61 2 9531 7905 or email info@jhcss.com.au
